Slots are available when a member has sent postcards in the last 6 months and has logged in the the last 30 days. This is to prevent sending to inactive members that might not be available to register the postcards. When you have inactive slots, you should receive an automated email explaining this situation.
If you had incoming postcards that did not reached you, you should see them in the page "Postcards exchanges", tab "Expired".
