Hi, I'm Marcel, I chose my username NL-Birds because I am from the Netherlands and my last name is "Vogels", translated into English as "Birds". I live in the south of the Netherlands, in a small village named Son en Breugel, nearby Eindhoven.
I registered as a postcrosser because I have been fascinated by receiving and sending mail since I was a child. And because I really enjoy writing and receiving cards. I find sending cards by this website extra fun because it puts you in touch with people in other countries and other cultures.
Another thing I enjoy most about postcrossing is trying to send the right card to the right person and to give the recipient a happy day!
I love to travel, I really enjoy discovering new countries and places. Receiving cards with photos of your city, region or country would be a lot of fun!
Writing help? Tell me something about yourself, your city or country, your studies/work, your hobbies etc.
Have you ever been to the Netherlands or are you ever planning to visit the Netherlands? What did you see then and which places did you visit or what would you like to see or visit or do you have a question? Write it to me.
I look forward to your card and am curious about your message or story. All cards are welcome! You can send me any card you like, I'm happy with any card you pick out for me! But if you need decision help, I find these topics very interesting:
- Tourist maps of your city, region or country.
- Greetings From
- Nature, Mountains, Forests and Waterfalls.
- Maxicards
- Unesco
- City by night
- Birds, cats and other animals.
- Funny cards
- Postman/Postoffice
- Old Buildings
- Landscape
- Law Enforcement
- Self Handmade Card
- Postcard about a religion
- Every other card with a nice stamp
A Christmas card is also nice in December

I also love beautiful stamps!
