Hello Everyone! I am from a very small town in northwest Ohio. This has been my hometown for most of my life, we moved from Indiana when I was 2 years old because my Dad's job with the YMCA brought us here. I was brought up with sports, but due to now being disabled I haven't participated in sports for a while. American football and Columbus (Ohio) Crew soccer are my two favorite sports to watch on TV. I also like volleyball and curling.
Biggest joys for me are letter and card writing, attending and volunteering at my local church, singing in a local nursing facility's choir, and being a newcomer at learning German on Duolingo.
But the best thing are CATS. I love cats, and was saddened very recently, to have my precious 17 year old boy Ollie, pass away. We are a cat-loving family: my daughter in Columbus Ohio has Rue, and my son here in Fostoria has Hazel. I don't have grandchildren, but the cats are my grand-kitties.
I challenge card writers to find cards with purple-purple mountains, lakes, oceans or anything purple. Of course i like local, regional, or country postcards. Even cards from areas that you have been to, or dream of going to.
