Geography Postcards.

Greetings from California, USA.

I am excited to learn about where you live. What would I sense -- see, smell, taste, hear -- if I visited your subregion? Travel is not available to me, so these cards are special.

Examples: view cards; famous parks; natural landmarks; festivals; local traditions; indigenous cultures; geology; regional art, crafts, theater, music, and dance; native flora and fauna; archaeology; or unique and perhaps odd local traits such as the world's biggest shoe, a haunted cave, and so on.

Please choose a card with a non-AI image that is representative of where you are sending it. It is getting more difficult to distinguish what is AI, of course; I’m doing my best to avoid buying any. If you make all your own cards by using AI prompts: instead of sending me one of those, please grab some blank material and affix a local photo, museum brochure, train tickets, map, detailed sketch, something like that.

Save any cartoon-style images, Postrossing meet-up stamp cards, and WPD cards for other friends.

I apologize if this profile sounds negative with “do this, don’t do that” requests. The fact is, often I am told there are no available partners when I attempt to send a card. In such limited, exclusive opportunities, I would prefer to see a true representation of other users’ regions in return. I believe this is fair, because the Geography Postcard site has a specific goal.

Please write anything about yourself or your region that you feel like sharing. Whatever language you are comfortable writing is fine.
