Geography Postcards.

I’m a librarian who crafts at work and at home! I read a lot of books when I’m not crafting too, mostly romance with a few sci-fi and fantasy thrown in. Huge Jane Austen and Edgar Allan Poe fan.

My top craft is cross stitching, though I have dabbled in quilting, miniatures, sewing, and everything in between. Besides my family, nothing makes me happier than sharing a love of crafting and/or reading.

I’m also a big nerd. Firefly, HP, Doctor Who, LOTR especially Hobbits, Star Wars, to name a few. I make many of my nerd fandoms into crafts.

And I love hiking in nature and traveling to new places. My favorite postcards to buy myself while traveling have maps on them or are an artist’s interpretation of a city or some local area of interest. I love colorful abstract art. I rarely buy myself photo postcards. I don’t mind them from others, but I have a camera phone and can take pictures. I can’t create the paintings or drawings that I see. I try but I would rather collect others’ art.

I like making postcards too and the food packaging ones are clever. I’m big into using recycled items in my crafts.

I really want to collect postcards of libraries. I found a few at a local antique store today and I plan on making some prints of libraries I have worked at before.
